The PTS sample holder system is a transferrable sample holder for flexible surface analysis and sample preparation. It is capable of both heating and cooling the sample and can be configured with many other features depending on the application.

Description

Approximately 200 individual designs of sample holders have been manufactured to date.

The sample holders are one of the most critical part of the surface measurement in UHV systems. The results of the whole experiment can sometimes depend on the idea, design, materials and precision of the holders.

In PREVAC we invest a lot of time and experiments in sample holders development. Our standard in sample holders is called PTS and this exists in our complete range of systems. However, we design and develop all holders according to the customer’s wishes and needs. We are also very open to all sample holders adaptation, especially if we combine various kinds of holders standards in one UHV system. If it is necessary we can offer our help in development and improvement of the new holders.

The PTS STANDARD sample holder for easy sample mounting and optional BIAS current measurement. PTS STANDARD is the base model for applications that do not require sample heating or cooling. The sample mounting table is made of titanium. The sample holder is compatible with the standard PTS receiving stations.
