Explore Tribology Solutions at IET New Challenges in Tribology 2020
This April, CN Tech will be heading to the University of Birmingham for New Challenges in Tribology 2020. Organised by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), New Challenges in Tribology is a yearly conference discussing advances and applications in the field of tribology. In 2020, the conference will focus on the issues of friction, lubrication, and wear in sustainable transport and energy. Friction and wear of moving parts are key considerations in the design of renewable wind, wave, and hydropower energy systems, as well as in improving the efficiency of vehicle designs.
A series of technical talks will be held during the event this year, covering all areas of tribology, including friction, wear, and lubrication. Corrosion, coatings, and the applications of tribology and related fields to renewable energy and low carbon transport will also be discussed. A full programme will soon be confirmed. There will also be a poster competition for students to showcase research.
