Discuss the Latest Advances in Electron Backscatter Diffraction at EBSD 2020

At the University of Sheffield this April, members of the Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) community from the UK and beyond will gather for EBSD 2020. Held annually, and organised by the Royal Microscopical Society (RMS), the EBSD meeting presents an opportunity to highlight the most recent developments in EBSD technology and applications. EBSD has applications in the fields of geoscience, materials science, mechanical engineering, and is also beginning to be applied to biological sciences.

Throughout EBSD 2020 a series of talks will be held, discussing breakthrough developments in EBSD instrumentation and software, as well as Kikuchi diffraction, electron channelling contrast imaging (ECCI) and related microscopy modalities. A range of application-focused discussions will be featured, highlighting new approaches to exploring the microstructure of materials systems. This year, a pre-meeting workshop is also being held, focusing on combining EBSD with High Resolution Digital Image Correlation (HRDIC).
