CN Tech is pleased to welcome a new member of our sales and applications team, Dr Jacob Pattem. Joining us in the role Jacob will be bringing his comprehensive academic experience to our range of Park Systems Atomic Force Microscopes.
Jacob graduated from Leeds University with a BSc Honours in Nanotechnology, and then achieved an MRes in Medical and Molecular Biosciences at Newcastle University. He then completed a PhD at Newcastle University, investigating “Nano-Morphological and -Mechanical Property Changes of Human Enamel and Dentine During Erosion”.
Following this, Jacob has pursued a wide range of post-doctoral research opportunities, focused on nanotechnology applications in life sciences and global health solutions. Jacob has extensive experience in Atomic Force Microscopy, focussing on real-time changes in topography, soft matter mechanics and Single Cell Force Spectroscopy.
Jacob is eager to pursue his academic interests with the innovative AFM technology offered by Park Systems, and help to share Park System’s comprehensive AFM range with the broader medical and biological community.
